How did Extenva start?

Extenva was born out of frustration with hosting providers. Most hosting companies are unreachable at the moment you really need them. If something happens over the weekend and your webshop goes down, there is nobody to contact. We wanted to change that!

Our goal: to make the customer king again, just like in the old days, and always be on standby.

Besides being available 24/7 for emergencies, we help businesses appear larger and more professional. Hence our name: Extenva, derived from the word extend.

I started with a web‑development course. After learning more about management and servers, I wanted to dive into design (frontend development). Unfortunately I was the only student in the class with that interest, so I was forced to follow backend development.

Once I had enough knowledge there, I still went on to study design. I wanted to focus on creating truly beautiful and luxurious websites.

During school I also worked on a cryptocurrency. I wanted to improve SafeMoon and remove the unfair way of making money. This turned out to be harder than expected, because Solidity was not mature enough yet to solve the problem. By using clever techniques our team of five eventually succeeded. Unfortunately the crypto market crashed at that moment, and the project never fully recovered.

Towards the end of my studies I was increasingly asked whether I could design and build websites. It grew so much that I decided to take it on professionally. Combined with my frustration with hosting providers, that was the moment Extenva was born.

Our main goal now: to make it as easy as possible for clients to be found online with a stunning website.
